The underground environment of coal mines is humid and rich in sulfides. The electroplating anti-corrosion layer of hydraulic supports can only last for 6 months under this condition, but it will rust and peel off, resulting in sealing failure and leakage of hydraulic supports. The annual replacement and maintenance costs are high. The Daokedao laser cladding equipment uses Ni Al alloy composite cladding material. Through a special alloying process, the coating forms a dense oxide film protective layer, with a salt spray corrosion resistance of up to 5000 hours, far exceeding the traditional electroplating layer's 500 hours. After applying this technology to the repair of underground hydraulic supports in a large coal mine in Shanxi, the maintenance cycle of hydraulic supports has been extended from 6 months to 3 years, and the corrosion rate has decreased from the original 0.2mm/year to 0.01mm/year. Based on the scale of 1000 hydraulic supports in the coal mine, the annual cost of replacing hydraulic supports is saved by 2 million yuan, the downtime of the working face caused by hydraulic support failures is reduced by about 80 hours, and the coal production is increased by about 20000 tons, creating indirect economic benefits of over 5 million yuan.
