The traditional methods for repairing the wear and tear of large equipment such as cement kiln support wheels and rotary kiln rollers require downtime of more than 72 hours due to low efficiency, resulting in significant production capacity losses. The Daokedao laser cladding equipment is equipped with a dual laser head parallel working system, which increases the cladding speed to 2.5m/min. At the same time, it is equipped with an efficient cooling system, which can achieve continuous 24-hour uninterrupted operation. The No. 2 cement kiln support wheel (diameter 2m, length 1.5m) of a large cement plant in Egypt has suffered severe wear and tear. Traditional repair methods require a 72 hour shutdown, resulting in an estimated loss of 3000 tons of cement production. After introducing the Daokedao laser cladding equipment, the repair work of the supporting wheel was completed in just 18 hours through the collaborative operation of dual laser heads and 24-hour continuous construction, 54 hours ahead of schedule for resuming production. This repair not only saved 3000 tons of cement production capacity loss (an increase of about 45000 US dollars), but also reduced additional costs such as labor and energy consumption caused by downtime by about 10000 US dollars. The efficiency of the equipment has been highly recognized by customers.
