Electric vehicle (EV) charging components—including charging ports, in-car chargers (OBC), and connector housings—operate in high-voltage, high-current environments, requiring high thermal stability, insulation, and flame retardancy. These components must also be hermetically sealed to prevent moisture and dust intrusion, which can cause short circuits and safety hazards. Traditional assembly methods often struggle to meet these requirements: adhesive bonding may degrade under high temperatures, while ultrasonic welding may not provide sufficient insulation or sealing.
