Long term use of the die casting cup will not only cause wear of the inner wall, but also lead to misalignment of the inner diameter due to high temperature deformation, resulting in uneven transmission of molten metal and deviation of the wall thickness of the casting. It is difficult for traditional repair methods to accurately recover the dimensional accuracy. After repair, it still fails to meet the production requirements of high-precision die casting, so it is forced to replace with a new cup.
The Dow Laser Cladding Equipment is equipped with high-precision numerical control system and online detection module, which can monitor the size of the inner wall of the material cup in real time, and accurately cladding the alloy powder on the worn parts through intelligent path planning. The thickness control accuracy of cladding coating can reach ± 0.02mm, which can perfectly restore the original inner diameter and roundness of the cup.
The inner wall of the repaired cup is smooth without steps and burrs, the flow resistance of the metal liquid is reduced, and the dimensional accuracy of the casting is increased by 15% - 20%. The coating has excellent wear and temperature resistance, the service life of the cup is 3-5 times longer, and the repair cost is only 1/3 of the new part. Whether it is small and medium-sized precision die casting material cup, or large die casting machine material cup, the equipment can achieve high-precision dimensional recovery and performance enhancement.
