The long-term high-speed operation of the generator main shaft is prone to bearing wear and roundness deviation, and the cost of replacing the new main shaft exceeds one million yuan, with a long procurement cycle. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses 40CrNiMoA chromium molybdenum steel powder for precision cladding of worn areas. Through spindle rotation melting and online roundness detection, the roundness error of the rear journal after melting is ≤ 0.005mm, the hardness is HRC35-40, and the matching accuracy is restored to H7 level. A case study of a power plant shows that repairing a 300MW generator's main shaft cost only 200000 yuan and took 15 days. After repair, the generator's vibration value met the standard, and the equipment's large main shaft in-situ cladding technology reduced lifting costs.
