During garbage collection, the brake discs of sanitation vehicles are easily contaminated by mud and corrosive garbage, with a wear rate three times that of ordinary vehicles and a replacement cycle of only two months. Daokedao adopts a composite scheme of "hydrophobic coating+wear-resistant melting". The brake disc surface is first coated with WC CoCr wear-resistant layer (HRC65), and then coated with hydrophobic ceramic coating. The water contact angle reaches 110 °, and the amount of mud and dirt adhesion is reduced by 80%. For the brake disc of the Φ 320mm sanitation vehicle, the thickness of the cladding layer is 1.5mm. After 500 hours of mud immersion testing, there is no rust and the wear resistance is increased by 4 times. After strengthening, the replacement cycle of brake discs has been extended to 8 months, the braking distance has been reduced by 5%, and the braking safety in rainy weather has been improved by 30%. After the application of 100 vehicles in a certain environmental sanitation company, the annual cost of replacing brake discs was saved by 160000 yuan, the maintenance time of the brake system was reduced by 70%, and the vehicle attendance rate increased from 85% to 98%. This solution is also suitable for braking systems of vehicles that are prone to pollution, such as construction vehicles and sprinkler trucks.
