After the wear of the machine tool ball screw shaft, the positioning accuracy decreased to 0.02mm/1000mm, and the size of the machined part exceeded the tolerance. GCr15 bearing steel powder is selected, and the thickness of the cladding layer on the screw raceway is 0.05mm, with a hardness of HRC62-65 and a surface roughness of Ra0.04 μ m. After repair, the positioning accuracy of the screw was restored to 0.003mm/1000mm, and the ball fit clearance was controlled at 0.005-0.008mm, with a lifespan of 90% of the new screw. For the Φ 40mm ball screw, the repair cycle is 8 hours and the cost is 20% of the new screw. After application in a precision machinery factory, the dimensional tolerance of machined parts was reduced from ± 0.03mm to ± 0.005mm, the scrap rate decreased from 10% to 0.5%, and the machining efficiency of the machine tool increased by 15%. The equipment is equipped with a dedicated rotating fixture for screw, ensuring that the helix angle error of the raceway is ≤ 0.01 °. It is suitable for high-precision machine tools such as CNC lathes and machining centers for ball screw repair, greatly reducing equipment upgrade costs.
