The cavity of the cold forging die is subjected to high-pressure cold metal extrusion, which is prone to wear and dimensional deviations, resulting in a decrease in the accuracy of the cold forging. Daokedao adopts WC Co hard alloy cladding technology, with a surface hardness of HRC68 on the mold cavity and a wear resistance that is 5 times higher than the original mold steel. The dimensional tolerance of cold forgings is stable within ± 0.01mm. Through multi-layer cladding technology, the depth error of the mold cavity is controlled within ± 0.02mm to ensure the accuracy of cold forging forming. The equipment is equipped with a dedicated support system for high-pressure molds to avoid mold deformation during the repair process. The strengthening cycle for a single set of cold forging dies is 16 hours. The service life of the strengthened cold forging die has been extended from 5000 pieces to 20000 pieces, and the qualification rate of cold forgings has increased from 96% to 99.8%, which is suitable for the production of cold forging products such as bearing rings and bolts.
