The pressure roller of the brick making machine is subjected to high pressure and mud wear during the pressing of brick blanks. Traditional welding repair requires a large amount of heat input, and the pressure roller is prone to cracking (with a cracking rate of over 35%). In addition, the hardness of the welding layer is uneven, and the wear is fast, with a service life of only 2-3 months.

The Daokedao laser cladding equipment adopts low stress cladding technology, with a heat input of only 1/6 of the welding process. There are no cracks generated after roller repair, and the success rate of repair is 99%. Using tungsten carbide iron-based composite powder, the hardness of the cladding layer is stable at HRC65-68.

The service life of the repaired roller has been extended to 10-12 months. After adopting this technology, a brick factory has reduced the number of maintenance shutdowns of the brick making machine by 80%, saving maintenance costs of over 200000 yuan per year, and meeting the efficient production needs of the brick industry.
