Traditional welding of mold edges is prone to cracking and porosity, with a defect rate of over 30%, leading to direct scrapping of the mold. Daokedao uses ultrasonic flaw detection to locate defects, and then uses pulse laser cladding technology to remove and repair defects. The porosity of the cladding layer is ≤ 0.1%, and there are no cracks. Using high-speed steel powder that matches the blade material, the repaired blade has a hardness of HRC62-65 and a shear strength of 600MPa. After repairing 15 sets of stamping dies with welding defects in a certain sheet metal factory, the blade life reached 90% of the new die, and the repair cost per set was 800 yuan, saving 5000 yuan compared to the new die. The success rate of defect repair was 100%.
