Nuclear grade valves require the sealing surface to maintain long-term sealing integrity and corrosion resistance in irradiated environments. The Daokedao laser cladding technology uses low cobalt (Co<0.1%) nickel based high-temperature alloy powder to prepare high-performance cladding layers on the sealing surfaces of the valve disc and valve seat. Through vacuum chamber melting and precise process control, the composition of the melting layer is ensured to be uniform, the microstructure is fine, and there are no metallurgical defects. The cladding layer exhibits excellent stability under simulated irradiation conditions, with a 3-fold increase in anti irradiation swelling ability compared to traditional Stellite cladding layers. The corrosion rate in boric acid aqueous solution is reduced to 1/5 of that of the cladding layer. This technology has passed the nuclear grade valve qualification certification and is applied to key valves such as main steam isolation valves and stabilizer safety valves in nuclear power plants, with a design life of 60 years.
