The last stage blades of a steam turbine operate in a wet steam environment for a long time, and the inlet edge is susceptible to severe water droplet erosion. A 3kW fiber laser was used to melt cobalt based alloy (Stellite 6) on the inlet edge of 1Cr13 martensitic stainless steel blades, with a thickness of 1.0-1.5mm. By optimizing process parameters (laser power 1.8-2.2kW, scanning speed 6-10mm/s, overlap rate 40% -50%) and supplementing with substrate preheating at 300 ℃, a high-quality melt layer without cracks and pores was obtained. The hardness of the cladding layer reaches HRC45-50, and the corrosion resistance is improved by more than three times, which extends the overhaul cycle of the blade from the original 2-3 years to 4-6 years. This technology has been applied in many large power generation enterprises in China, saving maintenance costs of over 2 million yuan per unit annually.
