The blade tips of high-pressure turbine blades in aircraft engines are prone to wear under high-temperature and high-speed airflow erosion, leading to a decrease in aerodynamic efficiency. Using the Daokedao laser directed energy deposition technology, the Rene series high-temperature alloy powder is precisely melted into the blade tip wear area using a 500W fiber laser in an inert gas protection chamber. By obtaining the damage morphology through 3D scanning and comparing it with the original CAD model, a repair path is automatically generated. The thickness of the cladding layer is precisely controlled at 0.1-0.3mm/layer, and the total repair thickness can reach 2-3mm. After repair, the blade profile is refined by a five coordinate CNC grinder, with a profile error of less than 0.05mm. There are no defects detected by fluorescence penetration and X-ray inspection. The assessment of repairing blade installation shows that its aerodynamic efficiency has been restored to over 98% of the new part, while the cost is only 30% of the new blade.
