Laser cladding equipment in specific fields also has precision end caps. For example, the end cap of the underwater laser cladding system used for underwater additive manufacturing needs to ensure sealing in deep-sea water pressure environments. Related research has designed an end cap structure consisting of steel balls, valve seats, female ends, sliding sleeves, O-rings, etc. Through simulation optimization using software such as Fluent and ANSYS, it is ensured that the maximum equivalent stress of the end cap is lower than the material yield strength when subjected to external pressure of 31.25MPa and internal pressure of 12.5MPa, and the O-ring seal is reliable. This high sealing and high-strength end cap structure provides a guarantee for the reliable connection and repeated use of underwater laser cladding systems, reducing material loss.
