Non-Contact Laser Welding for Automotive Cruise Control Sensors

Automotive cruise control sensors monitor vehicle speed and distance, enabling adaptive cruise control and other ADAS features. These sensors require high precision (measurement accuracy ≤±0.5km/h) and reliability, operating in harsh undercar environments. Traditional ultrasonic welding introduces vibration that misaligns internal components, leading to inaccurate readings. DaokeDao laser welding offers a vibration-free, low-thermal-impact process with micron-level positioning accuracy (±0.008mm). It forms a strong bond (shear strength ≥22MPa) for sensor housings made of PC and PBT, maintaining dimensional accuracy (tolerance ≤±0.01mm). The hermetic seal (IP67 rating) protects internal components from moisture, dust, and road debris, ensuring stable performance. Our systems support fast cycle times (7-10 seconds per unit) and high-volume production (up to 135 units/hour), complying with IATF 16949 standards. By improving sensor accuracy and reliability, DaokeDao laser welding helps automakers enhance ADAS performance and driving safety.
