Rubber mould is the key component for the production of rubber products (such as tire, sealing ring and rubber hose). Its surface quality and service life directly affect the quality and production efficiency of rubber products. In the process of rubber vulcanization, the mould shall bear the high temperature above 220 ℃, and contact with the high temperature rubber medium, release agent, vulcanization accelerator and other chemical substances, so the mould surface corrosion, wear, die adhesion and other problems are easy to occur. Corrosion and wear of die surface will cause rough surface and large dimensional deviation of rubber products; The die sticking phenomenon will increase the difficulty of demolding, extend the production cycle, and even lead to the scrap of products. Most traditional rubber dies are made of alloy die steel such as Cr12MoV. The surface is quenched, but the wear and corrosion resistance is limited and the service life is short. Frequent replacement of dies will increase the production cost and affect the production progress. Based on the vulcanization condition of rubber mould, Dow laser cladding equipment adopts high-temperature wear-resistant alloy coating cladding scheme to effectively improve the surface performance of mould.
The coating can withstand the vulcanization temperature of 220 ℃ for a long time, and has excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance. Meanwhile, the surface is smooth and easy to release, which can effectively solve the problem of mold adhesion. Precise cladding process is adopted for the equipment to ensure that the coating matches the thermal expansion coefficient of the die matrix, so as to avoid coating peeling and die deformation caused by temperature change. The tire mold of a rubber product factory had surface abrasion and die adhesion after 10000 times of use. The surface finish of rubber tire was poor, and the scrap rate was 3.5%. The service life of the mould is extended to 30000 mould times after being treated with Dow laser cladding equipment, the surface finish of rubber tire is improved by one level, the scrap rate is reduced to 1.2%, and the annual scrap loss of a single mould can be saved by more than 150000 yuan. The demolding time is reduced by 20%, the production efficiency is increased by 15%, and the mould maintenance cost is reduced by 60%, which greatly improves the production efficiency of the enterprise.
