Compressor, as the core power equipment, faces severe working conditions when its blades operate at high speed in the fields of petrochemical industry and electric energy. This expansion will start from the working environment of compressor blades, explain the principle and process of laser cladding technology in detail, and show the advantages of Dow equipment by combining specific data and cases.

Compressor is the core power equipment in petrochemical industry and electric energy industry. Its blades not only bear the centrifugal force caused by thousands of revolutions per minute, but also bear the alternating action of continuous scouring of the dust-bearing airflow and complex vibration load. In the actual operation monitoring of a large refinery enterprise, the wear on the surface of ordinary compressor blades can reach 0.15-0.2mm per month, and visible fatigue cracks will appear after six months of service, which will seriously affect the stability of equipment and the continuity of production.

Dow automation laser cladding equipment adopts self-developed nanocomposite anti-fatigue coating material, which is composed of WC hard phase, NiCr alloy bonding phase and rare earth elements. Through optimizing laser power density (2.5-3.2kW/cm ²), scanning speed (8-12mm/s) and powder feeding speed (18-22g/min) and other process parameters, the cladding layer and the matrix form metallurgical bonding. Microscopic examination showed uniform fine columnar crystal structure inside the coating, with hardness up to HV800-950, significantly higher than that of conventional surfacing process.

Taking the centrifugal air compressor in a chemical enterprise as an example, the blade is reinforced by laser cladding, and a dense protective layer with a thickness of 0.8mm is formed on the surface. The fatigue life test shows that the cycle times of cladding blade under the same working condition are increased from 1.2 million times to 1.68 million times, and the fatigue life is increased by 40%. The actual application data is more intuitive to verify the technical achievements: before the transformation, the enterprise needs to shut down for overhaul three times a year, and the single maintenance time is 72 hours; With the laser cladding technology, the blade operation cycle is extended from 8 months to 16 months, the annual shutdown maintenance frequency is reduced to 1 time, the comprehensive efficiency of the equipment is increased by 28%, and the annual maintenance cost saved exceeds 2 million yuan.
