The gear teeth and shaft neck of the gear shaft are prone to wear, and the cost of replacing traditional gear shafts is high, especially for large gear shafts. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses 42CrMo chromium molybdenum steel powder to repair the worn parts of gear teeth and shaft necks. By scanning the gear tooth profile and precise melting, the tooth profile accuracy is restored. The hardness of the melting layer is HRC45-50, and the contact fatigue strength reaches 90% of the original product. A case study from a certain machinery factory shows that the cost of repairing a large gear shaft is only 1/4 of that of a new product, taking 7 days. After the repair, the gear shaft runs smoothly, and the equipment's gear shaft special melting technology is adapted to different module gear repairs.
