Sandblasting nozzles are subject to high-speed abrasive erosion during sandblasting and rust removal operations. Traditional boron carbide nozzles have a service life of only 50-80 hours and are frequently replaced. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses SiC Co silicon carbide composite powder to melt a 2mm wear-resistant layer on the inner wall of the nozzle. The hardness of the cladding layer is HRC75-80, and the wear resistance is 10 times higher than that of traditional nozzles. The smooth inner wall reduces abrasive resistance. According to application data from a certain shipbuilding factory, the service life of the nozzle after melting has been extended to 800 hours, and a single sandblasting machine can save nozzle costs of over 15000 yuan per year. The small-diameter inner wall melting technology of the equipment has solved the problem of nozzle processing.
