The die-casting mold for the gearbox housing of electric tools needs to withstand the repeated impact of high-temperature metal liquid above 300 ℃. Traditional molds have uneven thermal conductivity, resulting in thermal cracks every 5000 pieces produced. After traditional welding repair, the service life is directly halved due to stress concentration. Daokedao is coated with Co Ni based high-temperature alloy, which increases the thermal conductivity of the coating by 20% compared to the original mold steel, effectively disperses thermal stress, and extends the thermal fatigue life to 20000 pieces. After being applied by a well-known power tool factory in the United States, the occurrence cycle of mold cracks has been postponed from 5000 pieces to 15000 pieces, the annual cost of mold replacement has decreased from 400000 US dollars to 120000 US dollars, and the scrap rate of castings caused by cracks has decreased from 5% to 1.2%. The process engineer of the factory stated that "the repaired mold can be continuously produced without intermittent cooling, and the production efficiency has also been improved by 15%", making it easier for the product to enter the high-end European market.
