Scratches of 0.05-0.1mm in the cavity of precision injection molds (such as mobile phone shell molds) can cause surface defects in the product, resulting in a scrap rate of over 20%. Daokedao adopts mirror laser cladding technology, with a focused spot of 0.1mm. Ni-Cr-Si-B alloy powder is selected, and the surface roughness of the cladding layer is Ra0.05 μ m, which is consistent with the mirror effect of the prototype cavity. By using a high-power camera to locate scratches, an automatic fusion path is generated with a size error of ≤ 0.005mm, ensuring that the accuracy of the repaired cavity meets the standard. The repair of the Φ 100mm cavity only takes 2 hours and costs 1500 yuan, saving 80000 yuan compared to the new mold. After application in an electronics factory, the surface defect rate of the products decreased from 25% to 0.5%, and the pass rate increased to 99.8%. The repaired molds produced 50000 pieces continuously without significant wear and tear, with a lifespan of 90% of the new molds. This solution is suitable for precision injection molds of plastics such as ABS and PC, especially for repairing molds of exterior parts of 3C products.
