Heavy duty gears (such as mining machinery gears) are prone to tooth surface peeling due to impact loads, and if the area reaches 5% -10%, they need to be scrapped, with replacement costs exceeding 100000 yuan. Daokedao adopts mobile laser cladding equipment for on-site repair, using 20CrMnTi alloy powder. The cladding path is replicated by scanning the tooth profile, with a cladding layer thickness of 0.3-0.5mm and a hardness of HRC58-62. The tooth profile accuracy is restored to level 8 standard. Adopting the "preheating melting slow cooling" process, residual stress is reduced by 70% to avoid cracking after repair. The single tooth repair of a gear with a modulus of 20 only takes 40 minutes, and the overall repair cycle is 72 hours. The cost is 30% of that of a new gear, and the load-bearing capacity after repair reaches 90% of the original design. After being applied in a certain mine, the service life of gears has been extended from 12 months to 36 months, the equipment failure rate has decreased from 18% to 2%, and the annual maintenance cost of a single equipment has been saved by 200000 yuan. It is suitable for repairing heavy-duty gears such as crushers and conveyors.
