After wear of the high-speed steel milling cutter edge, traditional grinding shortens the tool length, leading to reduced machining accuracy and high costs for replacing new tools. Daokedaobiao employs ultra-fine spot (0.08mm) laser cladding technology to overlay W6Mo5Cr4V2 high-speed steel powder on the worn edge, achieving edge angle replication accuracy of ±0.5° and dimensional error ≤0.01mm, enabling immediate use without secondary grinding. The cladding layer hardness ranges from HRC62-65, doubling the wear resistance of the original edge while maintaining impact toughness ≥18J/cm², making it suitable for milling difficult-to-machine materials such as stainless steel and cast iron. The repair cost for a Φ20mm milling cutter is 300 yuan, saving 1,200 yuan compared to a new tool, with a post-repair lifespan reaching 85% of a new tool. After implementation at a machinery factory, the number of workpieces machined per cutter increased from 300 to 500 when milling 45# steel, with surface roughness Ra decreasing from 1.6μm to 0.8μm and scrap rate dropping from 5% to 0.8%. The equipment includes built-in process parameters for 10 types of milling cutter models, allowing novice operators to begin working within one hour.
