Hot work molds (such as forging dies and die-casting molds) are prone to developing 0.1-0.5mm thermal fatigue cracks during cyclic exposure to temperatures above 800°C and room temperature. Traditional welding repairs often exacerbate cracking. Daokedaow adopts a "pulsed laser cladding + high-temperature alloy powder" combined solution, reducing heat input by 50% with a 200KHz pulse frequency while keeping base material temperature rise below 300°C to avoid thermal stress accumulation. The selected Co-Ni-Cr-W quaternary alloy powder maintains a hardness of HRC45 at 600°C, with a thermal expansion coefficient matching H13 mold steel at 95%. The repair process begins with ultrasonic flaw detection to locate cracks, followed by precise cladding along the crack path. The cladding layer achieves a porosity of ≤0.1% and a bonding strength of 650MPa. After repairing a Φ500mm forging die at a foundry, thermal fatigue life was extended from 80,000 pieces to 250,000 pieces, with crack propagation rate reduced to zero. At a repair cost of 80,000 yuan, it saves 720,000 yuan compared to new molds, making it suitable for hot working scenarios involving aluminum alloy and stainless steel.
