In low-temperature environments (such as cold chain packaging production), conventional screws are prone to brittle cracking and extrusion interruptions due to low-temperature embrittlement. Daokedaow specifically developed Ni-Mn-Cr low-temperature alloy cladding technology, where the coating maintains an impact toughness of 25J/cm² at -40°C—3 times higher than traditional materials, effectively resisting low-temperature brittle fractures. For Φ80mm low-temperature extrusion screws, the "preheating-pulse cladding-heat preservation" process was employed, with base temperature rise controlled within 120°C to avoid thermal stress cracks. The cladding layer achieves a thickness of 1.2mm and hardness of HRC52-55, with wear resistance improved by 2.5 times. After repair, the screw's extrusion capacity returns to new-piece levels, enabling continuous operation for 3,000 hours under low-temperature conditions without failure, extending the lifespan from the original 6 months to 20 months. Following implementation by a cold chain packaging enterprise, the number of equipment shutdowns per machine dropped from 5 times monthly to 0.5 times, saving 80,000 yuan annually in replacement costs. Product dimensional tolerances narrowed from ±0.2mm to ±0.08mm, with the pass rate increasing to 99.6%, perfectly adapting to low-temperature extrusion scenarios involving PE and PP.
