During the melting and conveying of plastic by the injection molding machine screw, the screw is eroded by the glass fiber-reinforced material. Traditional nitrided screws have a service life of only 6-8 months, with the cost of replacing a single screw exceeding 20,000 yuan. Daoke Dao Automation's laser cladding equipment uses Ni60+30% WC composite powder to apply a 2mm wear-resistant layer on the screw threads and feed section. The cladding layer has a hardness of HRC65-70, a bonding strength exceeding 400MPa, and wear resistance that is five times higher than that of the nitrided layer.
