To further improve the lightweight level of brake discs, Daokedao adopts a laser cladding+porous structure design scheme, processing honeycomb porous structures in the non friction area of the brake disc, reducing weight by 30% and improving heat dissipation efficiency by 40% compared to traditional brake discs. The friction surface is still strengthened by WC CoCr composite cladding to ensure wear resistance. The porous brake disc has undergone strength testing and has a compressive strength of 200MPa, meeting the braking requirements. After trial use by a high-end passenger car company, the weight of the brake disc has been reduced from 8kg to 5.6kg, and the braking distance per hundred kilometers has been shortened by 3%. It is planned to be used for mass production of the new model. This solution is suitable for high-end passenger cars, new energy vehicles, and other scenarios that require high lightweight and heat dissipation.
