During the printing process of 3D printers, consumables are prone to adhere to the inner wall of the nozzle after melting at high temperatures. Traditional brass nozzles have fast thermal conductivity but poor wear resistance, with a lifespan of only 100 hours. They are frequently replaced and prone to printing blockages due to residue. Daokedao fused tungsten carbide coating forms a 0.1mm thick wear-resistant and anti sticking coating on the inner wall of the nozzle. The precision of the nozzle inner diameter is controlled at ± 0.01mm, effectively reducing consumables residue and extending the service life to 500 hours. After being applied by a service company specializing in automotive prototype printing in the United States, the cost of nozzle replacement has been reduced by 80%, and the printing failure rate caused by nozzle blockage has decreased from 15% to 2%. The surface smoothness of printed parts has been improved, and the rework rate has decreased. This technology enabled the company to successfully obtain Tesla prototype printing orders, increasing printing efficiency by 20% and on-time delivery rate from 85% to 98%.
