When heavy trucks travel on long downhill sections in mountainous areas, they need to be braked continuously for a long time. The temperature of brake disc rises sharply, which is easy to cause safety hazards such as heat recession, heat crack and brake failure. Traditional brake discs have limited heat resistance and cannot withstand prolonged high temperature braking.
The Dow Laser Cladding Equipment adopts high temperature resistant composite alloy powder to form a heat-resistant and wear-resistant coating on the surface of the brake disc for long downhill braking conditions. The coating can still maintain good structural stability and wear resistance at 800 ℃, with excellent thermal conductivity, fast heat dissipation and reduced temperature rise of brake disc.
The coating hardness is above HRC65, the service life of the brake disc is extended by 3-5 times, and the heat decay performance is improved by over 50%. The treated brake disc can still maintain stable braking performance during continuous braking of long downhill, and the braking distance is shortened by 10% - 15%, providing strong guarantee for transportation safety in mountainous areas.
