The screw head of the injection molding machine is subject to high pressure, high temperature and corrosion of the plastic melt for a long time, so it is easy to have abrasion, corrosion, sealing failure and other problems, resulting in uneven plastification and melt leakage. Traditional screw head replacement is costly and affects production continuity.
Based on the loss characteristics of screw head, Dow Laser Cladding Equipment adopts wear-resistant and anti-corrosion alloy powder to precisely repair the worn and corroded parts of screw head. The surface of the repaired screw head is smooth, the sealing performance is restored, the coating hardness reaches above HRC63, and the abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance are significantly improved.
The equipment supports the repair of screw heads of different specifications. The repair cycle is shortened to 4-6 hours, and the repair cost is only 1/4 of the new screw head. With the treated screw head, the plasticizing uniformity is increased by 12% and the melt leakage failure rate is reduced by 95%, so as to ensure the stability of injection molding product quality.
