The oil plunger is the core component of the pumping unit. It moves back and forth in the high-pressure and highly corrosive oil and gas medium, prone to surface wear, corrosion pitting, sealing failure, leakage and other problems, which seriously affect the production efficiency. The traditional electroplating and spraying process has poor binding force, short service life and frequent replacement, which increases the operation and maintenance cost of the oil field.
Dow laser cladding equipment customized wear-resistant and anti-corrosion alloy coating scheme according to the working conditions of oil plunger. Through laser cladding technology, a uniform and dense nickel-based and cobalt-based alloy coating is formed on the plunger surface. The bonding strength between the coating and the base material is up to more than 300MPa, and the abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance are significantly improved. The equipment is equipped with high-precision numerical control system, which can realize precise cladding of complex parts such as plunger excircle and step, with coating thickness uniformity error ≤ 0.05mm.
The service life of the oil plunger processed by Dow laser cladding is 4-6 times longer, the operation and maintenance period is extended from 3 months to more than 18 months, and the annual replacement and maintenance cost of a single well is saved by hundreds of thousands of yuan. The equipment is suitable for batch processing of plungers with different specifications, and becomes the key technical equipment for reducing cost and improving efficiency in oil fields.
