The inner wall of the cylinder of a large reciprocating compressor is prone to uniform wear and tear due to long-term friction of the piston ring, resulting in a decrease in compression efficiency. Using Daokedao high-speed laser cladding technology, a special iron-based alloy coating is deposited on the inner wall of the cylinder. This technology has a low heat input, only 1/4 of traditional welding, which controls the deformation of thin-walled cylinders within 0.05mm/m. The thickness of the cladding layer is 1.0-1.5mm, the hardness is HRC55-60, and the wear resistance is 4-5 times that of the substrate material. After repair, only a small amount of honing is needed to restore the size, and the roundness and cylindricity errors are less than 0.02mm. Compared to replacing a new cylinder, the repair cost is saved by more than 60%, and the downtime is shortened from 30 days to 5 days, avoiding the huge cost of disassembling and replacing the entire machine.
