Daokedao laser cladding repair of screw compressor transmission device

20CrNiMo, as a commonly used material for screw compressor transmission devices, is prone to damage such as pitting and microcracks during long-term service, resulting in decreased transmission efficiency and increased vibration and noise. Using a 4kW fiber laser from Daokedao, a special nickel based alloy coating was deposited on the surface of 20CrNiMo steel, and the process parameter combination was optimized through a four factor three-level orthogonal experiment. The optimal parameters are: laser power of 2.8kW, scanning speed of 12mm/s, powder feeding rate of 15g/min, and overlap rate of 30%. The microstructure of the cladding layer obtained under these parameters is fine, mainly consisting of fine grains and equiaxed grains, with a hardness of HRC54-58. The pitting resistance is 5 times higher than that of the substrate, and the fatigue limit is increased by more than 25%, significantly extending the service life of the transmission device and reducing equipment maintenance frequency.
