The machining quality requirements for the valve seat sealing surface are extremely high, requiring not only high-performance cladding layers, but also perfect geometric shapes and extremely low surface roughness (usually requiring Ra<0.8 μ m). Integrating laser cladding and precision grinding into one device or automated production line is the key to achieving efficient and high-quality manufacturing.
The integrated technology process is as follows: the robot holds the valve seat workpiece and first performs laser cladding at the sealing surface position. During the fusion process, the coaxial vision system monitors the molten pool in real-time to ensure process stability. After the cladding is completed, the robot automatically replaces the electric spindle grinding head. Based on the three-dimensional morphology of the cladding layer pre scanned by the laser probe, an adaptive grinding path is generated to perform precise grinding on the sealing surface.
This technology eliminates the errors caused by multiple clamping and achieves a "one-stop" completion from melting to precision machining. The processed valve seat has a one-time pass rate of over 95% for the flatness and roughness of the sealing surface, and its production efficiency is more than twice that of traditional separation processes, making it particularly suitable for mass production of high-end valves.
