When processing corrosive plastics such as PVC and PA, the surface of the screw edge of the injection molding machine is prone to corrosion, resulting in black spots caused by plastic degradation. The product defect rate exceeds 15%, and the screw needs to be replaced on average every 6-8 months, with a single cost exceeding 20000 yuan. Daokedao laser cladding uses 316L stainless steel powder and forms a 0.8mm thick coating on the surface of the screw edge through synchronous powder feeding process. The coating has a salt spray corrosion resistance of 5000 hours, a surface smoothness Ra ≤ 0.8 μ m, and significant non stick material characteristics. A certain plastic machinery factory continuously produced PVC pipe fittings for 3000 hours after melting the screw of a 120mm diameter injection molding machine. The screw showed no obvious corrosion, and the product defect rate decreased to 1.2%. Compared with traditional chrome plated screws, the service life of fused screws is extended to 2-3 years, saving 150000 yuan in screw replacement costs per year for a single injection molding machine and reducing downtime caused by screw replacement by more than 40 hours.
