To repair local corrosion defects on the inner wall of nuclear-grade stainless steel pressure vessels, a nuclear power operation and maintenance company has used Daokeda Laser Cladding equipment. The equipment is equipped with a pulsed laser module, which precisely controls the heat input within 50-80J/mm², and compresses the width of the heat-affected zone to 0.1-0.2mm, avoiding grain coarsening of the substrate that affects mechanical properties. Meanwhile, a corrosion-resistant alloy powder containing 22% Cr and 10% Ni is customized to ensure metallurgical bonding between the cladding layer and the substrate. Tests in a simulated nuclear environment show that the corrosion rate of the repaired area is only 1/6 of that of the substrate. Moreover, it has passed the third-party irradiation performance test and meets the GB/T 15116 nuclear power safety standard, having been successfully applied to the maintenance of pressure vessels in two 1-million-kilowatt nuclear power units.
