Drill pipe joints in the oil industry are prone to failure due to wear and corrosion during downhole operations. An oilfield has adopted Daokeda Laser Cladding equipment for surface strengthening. The equipment clads a Ni60 + WC ceramic composite coating on 316L stainless steel joints, and adjusts the laser scanning speed (100-300mm/min) through a real-time temperature monitoring system (accuracy ±5℃) to ensure no pores or cracks in the coating. After strengthening, the surface hardness of the joint reaches HRC62-65, and its wear resistance is 3.2 times that of the original joint. The downhole service life is extended from an average of 120 days to 380 days. The equipment has realized on-site mobile operations in the oilfield, capable of processing 10 drill pipe joints at a time, significantly reducing the frequency of drill pipe replacement.
