The casings of electronic components (such as aluminum alloy casings for communication equipment) need to balance lightweight properties and scratch resistance. However, traditional anodizing treatment offers limited wear resistance. Based on micro-beam Laser Cladding technology, Daokedao Laser Cladding Equipment can clad a nano-ceramic composite coating on the surface of ultra-thin casings (thickness < 1mm). The equipment’s minimum cladding layer thickness is only 50μm, which does not affect the dimensional accuracy of the casing. The coating hardness reaches HV1200, and its scratch resistance is 4 times that of anodized layers. After an electronics enterprise applied this technology, the pass rate of drop and wear tests for communication equipment casings increased from 75% to 99%, and the after-sales maintenance rate of products decreased by 60%.
