Non-Contact Laser Welding for Automotive Parking Brake Cable Housings

Automotive parking brake cable housings protect the cable, requiring high strength, wear resistance, and anti-vibration performance, ensuring smooth cable movement and reliable braking. Traditional mechanical assembly has gaps, leading to cable friction and wear, while ultrasonic welding affects cable movement. DaokeDao laser welding realizes seamless sealing of cable housings, suitable for PA and ABS materials, forming a high-strength weld (tensile strength ≥21MPa) that withstands cable tension without loosening. The non-contact process generates no vibration, avoiding damage to the cable, ensuring smooth movement. The weld has good wear resistance, withstanding long-term cable friction without cracking, and meets IP65 protection grade, blocking dust and debris. The equipment supports long strip-shaped housing welding, cycle time 9-12 seconds per unit, suitable for mass production of brake system suppliers, improving parking brake reliability.
