Strengthening scheme for deep hole drilling with drill bit

Deep hole drill bits (with a depth greater than 10 times the diameter) are prone to blade wear due to poor chip removal, resulting in decreased drilling accuracy and a scrap rate of over 10%. Daokedao adopts the "edge strengthening+chip groove optimization" scheme, where WC Co alloy is melted on the drill bit edge, with a hardness of HRC65 and a threefold increase in wear resistance. At the same time, the chip groove melting texture is optimized, resulting in a 40% increase in chip removal efficiency. After strengthening, the straightness error of the drill bit drilling is ≤ 0.01mm/100mm, the aperture tolerance is ± 0.01mm, and it is suitable for deep hole drilling with a diameter of 5 to 30mm. After strengthening the Φ 10mm deep hole drill bit in a certain hydraulic component factory, the drilling depth has been increased from 100mm to 150mm, the number of single tool processed pieces has been increased from 50 to 150, the scrap rate has been reduced from 12% to 1%, and the annual tool cost has been saved by 60000 yuan. This solution is suitable for deep hole drilling of difficult to machine materials such as stainless steel and alloy steel, and supports customized chip groove texture design.
