Die casting die is used for die casting of aluminum alloy, zinc alloy and other metals, widely used in the production of automobile engine cylinder block, communication parts, etc. It needs to withstand the strong scouring and corrosion of 600-700 ℃ high-temperature metal liquid for a long time, and repeated high-temperature cooling cycle, prone to thermal fatigue cracks, mold cavity erosion, ejector pin wear and other failures. These faults will lead to air hole, crack and dimensional deviation on the surface of die casting parts, and even cause die scrap in serious cases; Traditional spray repair coating has weak binding force, easy to fall off, and difficult to adapt to high temperature die casting working condition. Based on the high-temperature scouring condition of die casting die, Dow Laser Cladding Equipment adopts the high-temperature and heat-resistant fatigue nickel-based alloy coating cladding scheme. The coating can withstand the high temperature above 750 ℃, and the thermal fatigue resistance is 3 times higher than that of traditional die steel.
Laminated cladding process shall be adopted for the equipment, and the cladding thickness of each layer shall be controlled within 0.1-0.15mm, so as to ensure that the cladding layer is dense and free from defects, and the bonding strength with the mould matrix is ≥ 500MPa. For the aluminum alloy cylinder block die casting die of an auto engine parts factory, due to thermal fatigue cracks and cavity erosion, a new die needs to be replaced every 80000 die times, and the cost of a single set of new die exceeds 500000 yuan. The service life of the mould is extended to 240000 mould times after the repair and reinforcement of the Dow laser cladding equipment, and the repair cost is only 15% of the new mould, which can save over 1.2 million yuan per year. The precision deviation of the repaired mold cavity is ≤ ± 0.01mm, the dimensional qualification rate of the die casting parts is increased from 92% to 98%, and the product quality is significantly improved. At the same time, the high-temperature cladding process of the equipment can effectively seal the air holes on the surface of the mold, reduce the air hole defects of the die casting parts, and further improve the mechanical properties of the products.
