The stirring screw in the chemical reactor is the key component to realize material mixing and reaction. It needs to be in contact with strongly corrosive media such as acid-base and organic solvent for a long time, and bear the stirring impact and abrasion of materials, so it is easy to have corrosion perforation, screw edge abrasion and other faults. Corrosion and abrasion will reduce the mixing efficiency, affect the uniformity of reaction and affect the product quality; In serious cases, it will cause screw fracture, reaction interruption and safety accident. Most of the traditional stirring screws are made of corrosion-resistant materials such as Hastelloy, with extremely high cost; Ordinary repair process is difficult to resist strong corrosive medium, and repair effect is short. The Dow Laser Cladding Equipment adopts a special anti-corrosion alloy coating cladding scheme for the strong corrosion condition of the mixing screw of the chemical reactor. The coating can withstand the acid and alkali media with pH value of 1-14. The corrosion resistance is 5 times of that of the ordinary stainless steel and can effectively resist the corrosion of various organic solvents.

The equipment adopts the local accurate cladding technology to repair the corroded and worn parts of the screw accurately, without the need for overall replacement, greatly reducing the repair cost. At the same time, the cladding layer is metallurgical bonded with the screw matrix, and the bonding strength is ≥ 400MPa, which has excellent wear-resistant performance and can withstand the stirring impact of materials. The stirring screw of acid-base neutralization reactor in a chemical enterprise was corroded by strong corrosive medium before and several corrosion perforations occurred after 2 months of use, resulting in a reaction efficiency reduction of 30%. The service life of the screw rod is extended to 8 months, the mixing efficiency is restored to the new machine level, the reaction uniformity is significantly improved, and the product qualification rate is increased from 92% to 98%. The repair cost of a single screw rod is only 20% of that of replacing a new Hastelloy alloy screw rod, and the annual cost saved for the enterprise exceeds 120000 yuan. At the same time, the repair cycle only takes 3 days, which is far shorter than the 15-day cycle of replacing the new screw, effectively guaranteeing the continuity and safety of chemical production.
