High speed railway brake discs need to withstand severe friction and thermal shock during high-speed braking. The service life of traditional forged steel discs is only 150000 to 200000 kilometers, and the replacement cost exceeds 100000 yuan per set. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses ZrO2 NiCr ceramic metal composite powder to melt a 4mm strengthening layer on the friction surface of the brake disc. The cladding layer has a high temperature resistance of up to 1000 ℃, a thermal conductivity as low as 15W/(m · K), excellent thermal shock resistance, and an extended service life of up to 600000 kilometers. A railway bureau test showed that the braking distance of the brake disc was reduced by 5% after melting, and the incidence of hot cracks decreased from 80% to 5%. The large-diameter disc melting technology of the equipment ensured that the flatness error of the brake disc was ≤ 0.03mm.
