The bottom rollers of metallurgical heating furnaces are prone to high-temperature oxidation and steel sticking when transporting steel billets at high temperatures. The service life of traditional heat-resistant steel bottom rollers is only 8-12 months. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses 3Cr24Ni7SiN heat-resistant steel powder to melt a 4mm heat-resistant layer on the surface of the furnace bottom roller. The cladding layer has a high temperature resistance of up to 1150 ℃ and excellent oxidation resistance. Its high-temperature strength is twice that of the original roller, and the surface is smooth and not easy to stick to steel. According to application data from a certain steel plant, the service life of the furnace bottom rollers after melting has been extended to 36 months, and the scratch rate on the surface of steel billets has been reduced from 5% to 0.5%. The annual cost of replacing roller tracks in a single heating furnace is saved by more than 300000 yuan, and the equipment's high-temperature melting and slow cooling technology avoids roller track cracking.
