The cutter ring of the shield tunneling machine is subjected to severe impact wear during hard rock excavation. The average excavation mileage of traditional hard alloy cutter rings is only 300-500 meters, and the cost of replacing one set of cutter rings exceeds 200000 yuan. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses WC-10Ni tungsten carbide nickel alloy powder to fuse an 8mm strengthening layer on the cutting edge of the knife ring. The hard phase content of the cladding layer reaches 75%, the hardness is HRC72-76, the impact toughness is ≥ 12J/cm ², and the impact wear resistance is three times higher than that of the original cutting ring. A certain subway shield construction case shows that the excavation mileage of the cutterhead after cladding has been extended to 1500 meters, and a single shield machine can save more than 1.2 million yuan in cutterhead costs per year. The thick wall cladding temperature control technology of the equipment ensures that the cutterhead does not crack or deform.
