The angle steel of power towers is exposed to outdoor environments for a long time and is affected by wind and rain corrosion. The traditional hot-dip galvanized layer may peel off after 3-5 years, and maintenance requires power outages. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses Zn Al Mg zinc aluminum alloy powder to melt a 2mm anti-corrosion layer on the surface of angle steel. The cladding layer is resistant to neutral salt spray corrosion for up to 5000 hours, which is 3-4 times longer than the service life of hot-dip galvanized layers, and there is no risk of peeling when metallurgically bonded to the substrate. The application of a certain power supply bureau shows that the anti-corrosion service life of the tower angle steel after melting is expected to reach 15 years, and the anti-corrosion cost of a single base tower is reduced by 20% compared to hot-dip galvanizing. The continuous wire feeding melting technology of the equipment enables the one-time melting of 10 meter long angle steel, increasing efficiency by 50%.
