Ceramic forming molds are subject to wear and tear from ceramic bodies during tile and porcelain pressing, while traditional steel molds have a service life of only 10000 to 30000 molds. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses SiC-Al2O3 silicon carbide composite powder to melt a 2-3mm wear-resistant layer on the surface of the mold cavity. The hardness of the cladding layer is HRC75-80, and its wear resistance is 10 times higher than that of mold steel. It can withstand high temperatures up to 800 ℃ and is suitable for hot pressing before ceramic sintering.
