Application of laser cladding of Hastelloy alloy in chemical reactor internals

The internal components of chemical reaction vessels are exposed to acidic and alkaline corrosive media for a long time, and traditional 316L stainless steel internal components are prone to corrosion perforation, with an average service life of only 6-12 months. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses Hastelloy C-276 Hastelloy alloy powder to melt a 2-3mm anti-corrosion layer on the surface of the inner parts. The cladding layer has excellent resistance to strong acids and alkalis. After soaking in 98% sulfuric acid environment for 500 hours, the corrosion rate is ≤ 0.01mm/year, far exceeding that of stainless steel material. After being applied in a certain chemical enterprise, the service life of the reactor internals has been extended to 36 months, and the annual replacement cost has been reduced by 70%. The precise melting control technology of the equipment ensures the accuracy of the sealing surface of the internals, avoiding the risk of medium leakage.
