Polar vehicles brake at low temperatures of -50 ℃, and ordinary brake discs are prone to brake failure due to low-temperature embrittlement, resulting in large fluctuations in friction coefficient. Daokedao adopts Ni Cu Al low-temperature wear-resistant alloy cladding technology to form a 1.5mm thick coating on the surface of cast iron brake discs. The hardness still reaches HRC50 at -50 ℃, and the friction coefficient remains stable at 0.38-0.42, reducing the fluctuation range of traditional brake discs by 60%. Through low-temperature aging treatment, the bonding strength between the coating and the substrate reached 550MPa, and no cracks were found after 2000 cycles of temperature cycling from -50 ℃ to room temperature. The reinforced Φ 400mm brake disc reduces the braking distance by 8% compared to the original disc at -50 ℃. After 50 consecutive braking cycles, the temperature only rises to 180 ℃, and the heat dissipation performance is improved by 30%. After being applied by a certain polar scientific research team, the vehicle brake failure rate decreased from 25% to 0.5%, and the brake disc replacement cycle was extended from 1 month to 12 months, ensuring driving safety in extreme environments. This solution is also suitable for low-temperature braking scenarios such as commercial vehicles and construction machinery in high latitude areas.
