Many manufacturers have reported that the mold wears out again shortly after repair, but the problem often lies in four easily overlooked details. Reason 1: Incorrect powder selection. Different mold working conditions require matching different powders, such as selecting high-temperature alloy powder for hot work molds and wear-resistant alloy powder for cold work molds. Choosing the wrong powder can shorten its lifespan by more than 60%. Daokedao provides powder selection consulting services, which can accurately match mold materials and working conditions. Reason 2: Incomplete preprocessing. Failure to clean the oil stains and oxide layer on the surface of the mold can lead to a decrease in the bonding strength of the cladding layer.
